My Journey….
My personal health and wellness journey began around the age of 20. I was an athlete throughout my childhood and teens, though my diet consisted of mainly processed and fast food. After graduating from high school, the rigorous soccer training schedule ended and over a span of a couple of years, my body had dramatically changed. As I entered my junior year in college I knew it was time to make some changes and reinvent my lifestyle. I incorporated more fresh foods into my diet, joined the club soccer team and spent time in the college fitness center. I was able to achieve my desired results with the lifestyle changes I incorporated and that fueled my passion to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Fast forward many years, my health and wellness journey is different now. The number on the scale or the fit of a pair of jeans are not my top health goals. I focus on eating nourishing foods, moving my body, a good night’s sleep, managing stress and most important, avoiding chronic diseases caused by lifestyle choices. The decisions we make each and every day can have a big impact on our daily and longterm health.
Everyone’s personal health & wellness journey typically ebbs and flows. With our busy and hectic lives, there are an infinite number of factors that dictate our ability to nourish ourselves with healthy food, move our body and rest our minds.
